Signet North America’s customizable Hazmat/Dangerous Goods Awareness course is designed to provide an educational foundation regarding safety issues of the various types of hazardous materials organizations deal with on a day-to-day basis. 

The goal of this course is to bring personnel to, at a minimum, the recognized United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Hazardous Materials First Responder Awareness Training Level (1910.120(q)(6)(i)).  Per this legislation, first responders at the awareness level are “individuals who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release and who have been trained to initiate an emergency response sequence by notifying the proper authorities of the release. They would take no further action beyond notifying the authorities of the release.”
