Jarrett Metheny

Jarrett Metheny, M.S. is a Major / Company Officer with the Midwest City, Oklahoma Fire Dpartment. He has been with the department since 1995, and has been involved with emergency services since 1991.

Jarett is a member of the Oklahoma Urban Search and Rescue Task Force, and is an adjunct faculty member of the Kaplan School of Criminal Justice Fire Science Program, where he developed on-line curriculum classes for Associates and Bachelor degree programs, including Building Construction for the Fire Service and Community Risk Reduction on-line classes. In addition, Jarett has instructed or is currently instructing with the Oklahoma State University Fire Service Training Programs where he served as a Program Coordinator and Field Instructor as well as the Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center Fire Training Center. He is also a Contract Author with Thomson Delmar Learning -Fire and Emergency Services Division, developing certification and promotional test bank questions for the Fire Fighter Handbook and Introduction to Fire Pump Operations training manuals

Among his many certifications, some of the most recent inlcude Fire Investigator I, Fire Inspector I, Strategies for Community Risk Reduction, Incident Safety Officer, Awareness for RIT Command, Firefighter Rescue & RIT Operations, Technical Search Specialist, Fire Fighter Safety & Survival, and Structural Rescue Technician

Jarett holds a Bachelors of Science in Fire Protection & Safety Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Science in Fire & Emergency Management Administration from Oklahoma State University.
