James Kramer has been a Physician Assistant in Family Practice for over 27 years, serving as the Senior Physician Assistant in the St. Mary Corwin Hospital Emergency Room. He has also been the Pueblo County Coroner for over 30 years.

Jim is an adjunct professor at the Colorado State University - Pueblo, teaching a course in Forensic Medicine and Criminology. He is also an instructor at the Colorado Technical University, being named their 2008 Instructor of the Year. He is an active member of the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Planning and Preparedness Community. He is Hazmat trained and also has specialty training in Toxic Chemicals and Biological Agents. He is a Federal Medical Evaluator and a Certified Mass Fatality Instructor. Child Fatality reviews and Investigation/Examinations of Child Abuse Victims are areas that hold a particular interest in his vast expertise. He is asked to speak nationally on Child Abuse, SIDS, Mass Fatalities and All-Hazards Approach to Fatalities.

He was a member of the D-MORT teams assigned to the World Trade Center September 11, 2001 disaster, working at the New York Medical Examiners Office. He was also deployed to the 2004 Florida Hurricanes and the 2005 Thailand Tsunami Victim Identification Center in Phuket, Thailand.
