SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The First Responder is a crucial component of on-site emergency incidents.  Effective response requires first responders to be knowledgeable in the efficient usage of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (S.C.B.A.).  Responders must be well versed in normal and emergency procedures as well as functional limitations of the equipment.  This unique eight (8) hour program will provide first responder teams with a comprehensive training that will include subjects such as; proper usage, inspection and user maintenance as well as the different types of S.C.B.A.’s and cascade/compressor systems.

GOALS:

The goal of this Signet North America Self Contained Breathing Apparatus for the First Responder course is to provide a high-energy, interactive and informative educational experience designed to take the attendee through a wide range of subject matter to include, but not be limited to:

Different Types of SCBA
Hard line Systems
Donning/Doffing Equipment
Normal and Emergency Procedures
End User Maintenance
Limitations of Equipment
Inspections
Cascade/Compressor Fill Systems
