SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Signet's Advanced Rope Rescue (Rope Rescue Level 2) will expand upon the knowledge, skills, and abilities learned in the Introduction to Technical Rescue (Rope Rescue Level) 1 course, to work efficiently and effectively in a high angle environment. A comprehensive understanding of these expanded rigging principals is a must for any team rigger, safety officer, supervisor, or team leader. Upon completion of this two (2) day course students will have a thorough understanding of the International System of Units, force multipliers and how they apply to a change of direction and anchor systems, mechanical advantage (simple, compound, and complex), component and resultant vectors, Static System Safety Factors, line vectoring and the principals of pre-rigging systems. In addition students will practice more expanded procedures such as pre-tensioned front and back ties, multiple point anchor systems, high angle litter attendant procedures, knot passing techniques, and horizontal and sloping highline systems.

The goal of this Signet North America Advanced Rope Rescue (Rope Rescue Level 2) course is to provide a high-energy, interactive and informative educational experience designed to take the attendee through a wide range of subject matter to include, but not be limited to:
- NFPA 1006 & 1670 Requirements
- Mechanical Advantage ( Simple, Compound, and Complex )
- Simple Anchor Systems and Multi-point Anchor Systems
- Knots, Hitches, and Bends appropriate for Rescue Work
- Stokes Basket Rigging and Attendant Procedures
- International System of Units
- Force Multipliers
- Vectoring Principals
- Pre-Rigging Practices
- Patient Extrication
- High Line and Guide Line Procedures
- Knot Passing Techniques
- Pre-tensioned front and back ties
PREREQUISITES:
Previous training in First Aid and CPR
